Leapord's gaze

I got this great shot many years ago in a shelter for big cats in Tampa. Here are some true leapord facts:In their real habitat leapords hunt small animals. The leopard is cunning, stealthy hunter, and its prey include, fish, reptiles and birds to mammals such as rodents, hares, hyraxes, warthogs, antelopes, monkeys and baboons.

Both lions and hyenas will take away a leopard's kill if they can. To prevent this leopards store their larger kills in trees where they can feed on them in relative safety.

A Leopard can run up to 45-50 mp/h, it is the third fastest animal in the world. The leopard can also leap huge distances, over 25 feet horizontally and more than 15 feet vertically.

Leopards are primarily nocturnal, usually resting during the daytime in trees or thick bush. The spotted coat provides almost perfect camouflage. Leopards live mainly in grasslands, woodlands, and riverine forests
