Spinning Tops

This week got to school and found my year 2 students playing with drawing pins. When I asked them why, they enthusiasticaly showed me how fast they could spin them "These are our beyblades" they said to me!!
Although I quite liked the creative use of materials, I set-up a challenge: to learn how to make really cool Spinning Tops out of bottle tops- The only condition was NO MORE DRAWING PINS!!!
Made these and then gave it to the kids to see if they spin them properly and how long they last- this was our second experiment; for the first one we used coffee capsules and those didn´t last at all!!!!
