Bijombo, Sud-Kivu, RD Congo – Une mission conjointe MONUSCO – Gouvernement provincial et Bureau des Nations Unies pour la Coordination des Affaires Humanitaires (OCHA) , s’est rendue dans les hauts plateaux de Fizi-Mwenga et Uvira pour rencontrer les déplacés victimes des conflits communautaires dans cette région. A l’issue du plaidoyer mené par les membres de la mission, les représentants des communautés Banyamulenge et Bafuliro, visibles sur cette photo, s’unissent contre ces violences et acceptent de vivre ensemble. Bijombo, South Kivu, DR Congo – A joint mission comprised of MONUSCO, the Provincial Government and the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) visited the Fizi, Mwenga and Uvira hauts plateaux (highlands) to meet the internally displaced persons affected by communal conflicts in that area. At the end of the advocacy carried out by the mission, the representatives of the Banyamulenge and Bafuliro communities, visible in this photo have spoken with one voice to condemn the use of violence and express their willingness to live together.
