Tirhatuan homestead archaeological dig, Rowville, 1979

Tirhatuan was the 1841 homestead of Rev James Clow, the first white settler in the area. The Victorian Archaeological Society conducted a dig on the site in 1979. For more information, see the paper Tirhatuan, the Clow homestead by Eric Willacy.

Note that Clow's homestead and Corhanwarrabul Run was located east of Dandenong Creek, in what is now Rowville, so is located in the City of Knox. See locale on Google Maps.
