'THE TYNE DOCKER' - K1 62005 AND SUPPORT CREW 'FAREWELL TO STEAM' AT HEATON MPD
Steam had finished in the North East but K1 62005 was pressed into action to help out the 'Clun Castle' railtour to Newcastle by hauling the coaching stock from the King Edward Bridge South Jct. to Central Station, then on to Heaton CS as Clun Castle was out of gauge for the platforms, and is seen here at Heaton MPD with the support crew. Sorry, no names. Seemingly, Clun Castle worked the return working South from the Central Station, though!
