Rejected Park Plan

Several plans for Central Park were submitted before Olmstead and Vaux's plans were finally accepted. This early plan is one of the rejected ones.

 

This is a recent acquisition of the New York Historical Society. I was fortunate to not only see it, but take a couple of photos.
