Beef Yat Gaw Mein

I was sick today. I had to go out for food, so I went to the nearest Chinese take out place. It's just around the corner and, while it doesn't compare with Chinatown, Flushing, or Elmhurst restaurants, it was close.

 

This was very soothing. It was tasty and there was lots of it. I wanted noodle soup and this was perfect. It was also a photo op!

 

This is the kind of restaurant that Jennifer 8. Lee refers to as American Chinese in her book, The Fortune Cookie Chronicles, a must read.
