Harajuku JR Station
Harajuku JR station viewed from Meiji-Jingumae. There is always a lot of people next to the stations. On the left is the Yoyogi park that hosts the meiji Shrine we are about to visit as we have had our lunch time in a ramen restaurant.
We already have had an experience of ramen in Paris i recommend but it was our first experience in Japan (as this is our first day in Tokyo). It was on a small and full ramen restaurant with no gaijin inside apart from us and it was quite bizarre and intimidating to be welcomed by a warm irashaimaseeeeeeeeeee (means welcome) yelled by all the team (after 2 days in japan, you'll get used to this anyway). Laetitia choosed a big bowl as she was hungry. She didn't know that it was a REALLY big bowl of ramen (~_~) When someone went out of the restaurant all the yelled "arigato gozaimasu" (means thank you) or just gozamasuuuuuu. We still remember it with a smile.
This station is just 10 meters away from the Harajuku cosplay Bridge as you can see with the girl on the bottom left corner. The station itself has a funny architecture and pretty unusual but reflects well the atmosphere of this entire place.
The tower you see in the back is the Yoyogi JR next station.
See this page on google earth and enjoy the harajuku station train bell #1 and #2
