Private Jason Edwardson treating a casualty.The Combat Medics from Fire Support, 1 R WELSH treating 2 category C casualties at Check Point Bennett. After immediate first aid treatment in the field, the casualties were brought in from a contact with the Taleban less than 15 minute before. Eight Taleban had attacked the patrol, the second attack that afternoon. Captain Frankie Taylor, 2ic Fire Support Company reports a "9-liner" casevac report to HQ and requests a casevac by helicopter. Both Afghan security force casualties were helicopter lifted back to Bastion although both were walking wounded; one had suffered gunshot wounds to his foot and the other had incurred shrapnel wounds to his right arm and leg.
