Vlaamse gaai - Garrulus glandarius - Jay

The shyest visitor to our garden, and the biggest. He only comes round on the coldest days.

This photo was taken from behind the living room window, while I was still sitting in my chair. Any movement at all and he is gone. I feel very lucky to have been able to get this shot, even though the framing could be a lot better!
