Assault on St Paul's Cathedral - Manual HDR

Hi, today I'm posting another picture from my last trip to London in

February.

I shot it from a side of the St Paul's Cathedral next to a soldier statue

calling for an assault. I then had the idea of this composition, I pointed

my tripod right aligned with the statue and the dome, for the soldier's arm

to point to the dome.

I shot 6 RAWs (different exposures) and I blended them together in

Photoshop CS5. The treatment was quite complex as the light spectrum was

very wide, from the shadows of the statue to the strong lighting on the

dome. I want to stress here that I didn't use any HDR software and that the

halo around the dome is not due to an overtreatment. The halo is due to

strong light beams that were lighting the dome from both sides.

I hope you'll like it! Please comment and leave me some personal feedback,

it helps me to be always motivated as it is a lot of work! :)

Thank you!!
