Salah El Din Citadel

Built by the orders of the Ayyubi Sultan Salah el Din around 1180, the Citadel overlooks Cairo from the top and was utilized by Mohammed Ali as the Government palace and included the prison of political prisoners who are jailed without a trial til the days of Presendent Sadat.
