Oh man, I feel so much better when the first picture on my stream is a picture I am happy with...
This shot was taken at Fort Williams just before sunrise. I had wanted to get some traditional shots of the PHL but again failed miserably. I think my problem is I split just after the sun came over the horizon because the colors dissapeared. Of course, that means that I got no shots of the lighthouse actually lit by light. So I ended up with some fairly foreboding shots, but no nice sunny ones.
This shot here is manually blended from two exposures. One for the sky, one for the foreground. I moved tint around in Camera Raw and changed to a Tungsten WB for a little warmth. Sharpened, some curves and a little Lab Color work to add punch and that was about it.
Got myself pretty drenched on one shot as I was looking through viewfinder. Random wave just splashed right on top of me. Not really that cold but COMPLETE surprise. Lens got wet and all shots from that point on were a bit blurry from salt on lens.
