Book: The greatest dream origami

by Toshikazu Kawasaki

ISBN 978-4-255-00505-8

First part of the book is on roses, including two rose tessellations, and some other flowery models, second features mainly modular designs and some geometric one sheet models.

The book is extremely well organized: It has paper size recommendations , star ratings for difficulty and an estimation how long it takes to finish a model. The diagrams are subdivided into steps and sometimes lessons, the latter not necessary for the model, but to practice difficult foldings. It's coloured and features nice photos of the final models.

The models are - at least for me - not too easy. Even though the diagrams are well drawn I had sometimes difficulties to figure out a certain folding sequence. That might be obviously because it's japanese and there's a bit of text on almost every step. Hence not a recommendation for beginners but an absolutely valuable book for folders with a bit of experience for the models are very nice and unique.
