Trail

Our path after it finally stopped storming. It was like walking through a jungle.

There were 3 major waves of stormfront coming through; at one point during the afternoon, I was contemplating digging out my headlamp because I almost couldn't see the trail it was so dark. We walked about 10 miles along the ridgeline while getting murderstormed on before descending to another shelter. This shelter was more elaborate, and had a fireplace in it, and bunks built in. I don't have a picture of it, because rain, but here's one from whiteblaze.net: whiteblaze.net/forum/vbg/files/3/pine_swamp_branch_shelte.... There's an actual privy up the hill behind it a little bit. Fancy. Someone had left a copy of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas in the shelter, which I'd never read. So I read the whole damn thing.
