Day 32- Do Not Enter
As you guys probably remember, we found out Casey had cancer in her lungs again before her bladder surgery on November 1st. Mid-November, she got a thoracotomy on her right lung, and started chemo until a thoracotomy on her left lung on January 10th. She had her scans redone this week in preparation for that. And there's already another nodule on her right lung.
You know, it's funny. I knew we were getting bad news- the nurse practitioner had said she'd call the day after the scans, and she was a day late. I knew she was running around talking to doctors and getting second opinions on the scans. But today started out so good. It was seriously 50F (/10C), and we went shopping for clothes with the giftcards we got for Christmas. We drove around and found these ridiculous decrepit buildings by the VA hospital. We were in the car coming home, and Casey was like "Today's a good day." And on the porch, her phone rang.
