I found I wanted access to the volume controls all the time, so I had to have a hole in the case to get at them. And I prefer things to fit a little more snugly and with a little less random material at the top.
End result: the flap I envisioned the back part making didn't quite have enough material to pin it down properly, oh well. I shall attack it with velcro anyway. But I now have access to the volume controls. Now to road-test it for a few days.
