Photographed from the interior of the Hagia Sofia in Thessaloniki/Greece. It‘s dark and the light from outside falls through the window. The church is from the 7th century and one of different sites which are from the city listed on the world heritage list.
A mystical scene unfolded before me at the window, which felt like traveling back in time. Because the way I photographed it must be how churchgoers in the seventh century saw it when light shone through the lattice windows from outside.
