Sometimes, all you see is the price (250/365)
£8 for a chicken?!
Yeah. £8 for something that will go towards making 8 - 10 meals (4 roast dinners, 2 portions of left overs for noodle soup or stir fry and a carcass for a vat of the best soup you ever tasted).
£8 for something that's had the time (and the room) to grow, to run about, to scratch in the earth, to just *be* a chicken. That hasn't been pumped full of antibiotics and steroids before it died, and water afterwards. That wasn't kept in a wire cage with standing room the size of a piece of A4 paper - with another bird for company.
Sometimes, you need to look past that price on the label.
Ok. Rant over. Thank you for looking. I promise not to mention it again.
