Hrísastelkur - Lesser yellowlegs - Tringa flavipes

A medium-large shorebird, the lesser yellowlegs measures 27 cm. The legs are yellow. Compared to the greater yellowlegs, the bill is shorter (visually about the same length as the head), slim, straight, and uniformly dark.
