Daylily 'Michiel Thomas'

an incredible honour is brought to me by naming this really stunning new daylily breed after me (!) by american breeder and flickr friend liz126willard. the name giving is in the process of being officially registrated by the american hemerocallis society. this is what she wrote me this week:

Today I visit the Postoffice to mail a CD with the image of Daylily MICHIEL THOMAS.

In the New Year, I hope it will be Offical with the American Hemerocallis Society.

 

It is an Exotic or Unusual form. When the weather is cool the petals fold in half ( that is a crispate.) In the image you will see a yellow color BUT the center is green...like a stop light across the garden.

 

You have my official permission (;-)}}} to do what ever you wish with the image, as far as printing or whatever. no question, It is yours.

 

This is one of my MOST favorite daylilies and I am honored to be able to name it for such a fine artist.!
