James Francis Walsh, June 22, 2009
When I first moved to Peaks Island (from Scarborough) at the age of four, we shifted through houses until we ended up at Epps St., next to the Walsh residence. Robert, James, and Marguerite were my next door neighbors for a few years until I moved to another end of the island. During the latter half of high school, however, I'd moved back to Epps St. - though James had moved up the hill. He was still pretty close by. (But I've moved since then, though, to yet another end of the island). Over the past couple of years, I've become a fan of his unique music - rough and raw, but at the same time dreamlike and abstract. Very cool, very awesome.
