Amy Alexandra Clark, June 21, 2009
Alex Clark is another friend whom I've known since kindergarten. It was a few years before I found out her first name wasn't Alex, but Amy (the same thing happened with Travis Mencher, first name Jacob, who was also in our class). I think that was my first introduction to the mysteries of one's full name.
Something that is evident and this picture, as well as Kim's a couple days later, is that the top and the bottom of each negative sometimes comes out underexposed. I'm not really sure what is up with that - there have been a few days where the camera freezes up a bit (it fixes itself by the end of each shoot), but aside from that, the pictures have turned out well. It's only this underexposure that bothers me. I've decided to keep it the way it is rather than put too much effort into getting rid of it. This negative had a lot of dust, which took me a while to edit, but I do enjoy leaving traces of the structure/flaws of the negative.
