Grizzlies Stadium
It was just beginning to rain when I took this photo of the new Fresno Grizzlies baseball stadium, built in 2002. There was a band playing live just inside the stadium gates as people were entering the facility to see the Grizzlies play. A few minutes later the sky let loose with a heavy downpour. The band packed up and ran for cover. I was standing under an awning of the building across the street as I took this picture. I stayed there for awhile trying to avoid getting wet. Later that night I was watching the local news on TV and they said that after the fans were seated in the stadium, they canceled the game due to rain. It was supposed to be the opening night of the season. I was happy, though, because I got the photo that I wanted.
