Step 8: Pin the hem of the chest opening
Cut most of the excess fabric flaps off, leaving just enough to fold under to create a seam (using the same method as in step #5). You'll need to pin the sides as well as the bottom.
NOTE: If you're in a real hurry, and you have a fabric that you KNOW will not ravel, you really don't have to do this if you're going to cover it with trim. The trim is VERY forgiving when it comes to this step, so if you happen to decide to skip this or if it doesn't come out very nicely don't worry - you'll be covering it with trim in a bit!
