A Tired Marianne on Polaroid ATZ

I had an idea for how to setup my SX70 with some offcamera flash. After a few experiements, it more or less worked. This is shot on Artistic TZ film. It starts to turn green just a few hours after being exposed. I think this film should have been called "Experimental TZ" instead.

Polaroid Strobist Stuff

The SX70 is normally made for flashbars. I used it with a polatronic 2350. My idea was to use the polatronic to fire off a couple of optical slaves - one shot through an umbrella, and another to fill the background. My theory was that exposure would be adjusted by the camera using the lightsensor/EE.

That did not quite work. It seems something in the exposure is fixed, when attaching the 2350, so even though I was using a total of three flashguns, my first images was underexposed. To get this image, I had to use the 2350 as a main light, and dial the two other strobes up to 1/1.

Reading the SX70-manual, I found out that when using flash, exposure is adjusted according to the focus (distance to subject). My guess is this overrides the EE, but still allows adjustments on the lighten/darken wheel.

Note to self: Meter the power of the 2350, that will make it easier to balance it with other strobes.
