Port Isaac
The small north Cornwall town of Port Isaac has been made famous worldwide by the TV series Doc Martin, where it is known as Port Wenn. Doc Martins house in the series is actually a holiday rental cottage, why anyone wanting a bit of privacy would want to stay there though is beyond me, there is a constant steam of tourists stopping outside to take photos. Notices have been put up asking people not to look in the windows as it’s private property. Personally I think the view looking out over the harbour is much nicer. On previous occasions when we’ve walked here from Port Quin they have been filming, luckily today everything was more peaceful.
