We conceived the project of founding a city in the place where we had been abandoned and raised. With our hands we built the palace and the surrounding walls. We freed our slaves to make them our citizen farmers and soldiers. Our city was the most beautiful, the largest and the mightiest of all the cities between the two rivers. The vultures had to decide which of us two, Lilith or Samaël, would rule the city. Being twins, our age could not decide between us. But while they hesitated, I grew impatient and I faced up to my sister. More cunning than she, I managed to drive my dagger into her heart. She died wearing a grin of hatred. I cut off her head and brandished it in front of my fascinated and terrorized people, shouting: “Let anyone who crosses these ramparts perish! We are now number one in the Universe, by far ! ”. We were ready, finally, to devastate the world.
