Flat Earth.
Recently there's been an influx of discussion about if the Earth were flat, so I've decided to have a small discussion about it here.
There's an argument that we see our Southern Pole Star (Sigma Octantis) as a mirrored view of the North Star, which physically is impossible as the Stars, Nebulae and Constellations in our Southern sky are completely different to that of the North.
However, if we were living on a flat disc spinning on top of four giant Elephants standing on a Turtles back (who the hell comes up with this shit?), then we would see something like this image here when we make a long exposure looking South.
