Scandretts Bay - before
No editing at all on this shot.
A simple before and after shot from the other night at Scandrett Regional Park. You can see the original shot has captured a ton of details, and it's very easy to squeeze more out of it.
Think of a RAW file like a raw piece of meat, how would you like it cooked? I prefer medium, this to me is medium – there is an amazing amount of room for more editing that can be done to this, but too much and it just won't look real.
This is a very basic edit, lifted shadows, added contrast, clarity, vibrance and a bit of saturation (In PS CC and LR). There is a big debate on how far to go until it is no longer photography, this is still photography to me as nothing else was added, just enhancements to what was originally shot.
