Bridge to the Milky Way panorama edit #2
WON Bronze in the Epson International Panorama Awards.
Ok, spent a fair bit more time on this one, testing out different methods of stitching in Photoshop CC and Hugin.
Ended up going with the Hugin made panorama, but there's just one thing I do not like about how that software processes it – the stars at the top are stretched too far sideways! Does anyone know how to set Hugin so it doesn't warp the top when it isn't necessary? It's also tricky keeping the resolution of the original files, if I had it my way the panorama would be around 6,500px high by about 28,000px long, but Hugin seems to shrink it a lot. Oh well, still happy with the result :)
Image details:
Exposure: 20 sec
Aperture: ƒ/4.5
ISO: 6400
Focal length: 22 mm (Canon EF-S 10-22mm ƒ3.5-4.5 USM)
28 images stitched together, exported from LR5 with my usual Milky Way adjustments, stitched in Hugin then edited in Photoshop CC.
