Through the Lens Winner & Jury Celebration

ICYMI, I was selected as one of the winners of the Through the Lens: Dallas Arts District juried photography competition.

"We received over 1,050 photographs and of those, only 90 of the top photos were chosen. Your work will be included in a professional coffee table book that will be sold throughout the Dallas Arts District, with all gross proceeds going to the Dallas Arts District Foundation. In addition, the book will be featured in every room within our new HALL Arts Hotel, opening fall 2019. The book is scheduled to be published in Q2 2019."

Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings was a celebrity juror in this competition.

Thursday night at the KPMG Plaza was the celebration gala where all the winning photographers were invited to attend. Mayor Mike Rawlings showed up and spoke about Dallas's contributions to the arts. Also speaking was business entrepreneur Craig Hall, chairman and founder of HALL Group. Lily Cabatu Weiss also took to the podium and spoke with all of the winners. Lily is the current Executive Director of the Dallas Arts District. Prior to that, she was Artistic Director at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts where she was part of the dance faculty.
