1. I chose to shoot this photo horizontally, I think mainly to go along with the horizontal lines of the mushrooms. I also took a few vertically, howver, I found that when shooting vertically there was too much sky in the photo.

2. I used the darker tree and bottoms of the mushrooms against the bright white background to really make the tree stand out and seperate itself from the rest of the frame.

3. This photo was taken on a gloomy overcast day, with soft light from the sky. The soft lighting allowed me to capture the textures of the bark underneath the mushrooms, which would have been difficult if I were shooting under hard light.

4. The hardest part of taking this photo was deciding on shooting it vertically or horizontally. I think this was difficult because the entire tree from bottom to top was covered in mushrooms, so I wanted to capture as much as i could of the mushroom covered tree with minimal distraction from the bright white sky.

5. I took this photo on a nature walk, while looking for flowers. I seen the tree completely covered in mushrooms and decided I wanted to capture its textures from below.
