The gardens at Bateman's, the home of writer Rudyard Kipling at Burwash, East Sussex, England.

 

Bateman's is a Jacobean Wealden mansion constructed in 1634. It was the home of Rudyard Kipling from 1902 until his death in 1936. Kipling's widow bequeathed the house to the National Trust on her death in 1939.
