Celestial Pinball (Explore #20)

Moonrise from San Rafael, CA behind the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge.

A couple dozen masked photographers assembled 6 ft apart on the waterfront Thursday night to observe the May "flower moon", making its appearance over the Berkeley Hills. I thought the moon resembled a giant glowing pinball rolling down the rail, perhaps to splash into the bay. In the foreground are the remnants of a very old fishing pier that adjoins the rod and gun club. Oh, and if you are one of the 3,700 residents of San Quentin State Prison around the corner, you could conceivably enjoy this gorgeous view...for life.

This is a 2-exposure manual blend using the A* 600mm f/5.6 lens on the 645Z with 1.4x TC. No cropping was necessary.

I hope you like this one.
