Unbelievable night. Hung out at this spot on Vekol Road from around 9pm to midnight…being patient, hoping bolts would come over the mountains…and they did. This isn’t even one of the more incredible shots, but I looooove the symmetry and the mountain peppering going on. Was actually tough to choose one to post because, well, they were all spectacular...and I like to stick to one or two a day :)
Always fun when patience works out...I rarely am able to sit still and watch lightning blasting just down the road and instead wait, and hope it starts dropping on our side of the mountains. Luckily for us, it worked out last night! Also enjoyed the company of John Sirlin and Greg Breneman out there, which is nice because of it being such a sketchy, dark place
Definitely best day of Monsoon 2019 so far.
