Grandpa talked about how good these were, and that Ford and another company both made them but they all had interchangeable parts. There was also a story told about how he and a few other guys used to take one from the motor pool to cruise around Japan while they weren't on duty, and one of the guys they hung around with was authorized to write the paperwork to get them past any roadblock they ran into.
