Famine Memorial, Dublin, Aug 2011

This is one of the most moving sculptures I've ever seen. If you ever go to Dublin I strongly recommend it.

For a photographer it has huge potential. For this set, I've shot into the light (it was a cloudy afternoon). This meant that I had to do a bit of contrast adjustment in Photoshot afterwards but i like the way that the light flares around the faces, I think it gives the statues a ghostly quality.

Possibilities are endless - early morning coud be amazing.
