Today it's PART 2 of my INTO AN INTERVIEW with the Seattle band LOWLANDS,

plus we hear from Madame Rootabega, Valentino, and Bison Bentley! And

Europe is launching spaceships? At least their spaceships give you a

decent meal on board. Yeah, nuts don't actually count as a meal!

 

I attempted to talk about the cry-inducing power of endings on the last

show. Then I heard about an ending that truly shocked me. Jon Stewart is

saying bye to the Daily Show. I admit I do not watch the show anymore

because I feel all it does is point out how ridiculous Fox News is and I

think that's low hanging fruit. It's like @ Midnight making another frat

joke. But I WAS addicted to the Daily Show from the Craig Kilborn days to

when Jon took over. Jon was always brutally honest. Craig was a dressed

up Ken doll. Jon was the "heart on his sleeve" guy who made you laugh in

the most unexpected ways. An even bigger shock was finding out he's done

the show for 17 years. God I'm old.
