Globe and Mail

by Mike Falkner

After nearly 43 years of daily print operations, this major Toronto newspaper has undertaken a consolidation. Closing shop at 444 Front Street West in order to keep pace with the modern electronic era, print operations and the news desk now part ways. The 1500 tons of printing press equipment no longer slam the world's events to paper, instead opting for a modern outsourced approach. The newsroom has long since moved into its modern commercial digs on King St East.

The property was sold to developers for $30.5 million and will be a part of the Condo modernization which has become the norm for this great city.
