Transit Time Capsule

A quick jaunt through the yard provided access to an old transit bus and pair of subway train cars. They were previously stripped for spare parts and have since been heavily vandalized.

The GM TC40-102N "Classic" transit bus number 6227 was retired in July 2005.

The subway consist is comprised of a pair of Hawker-Siddeley H4 cars numbered 5598 and 5599. They were delivered to the TTC in 1974 and were retired from passenger service in 2001. These cars were known for their lack of A/C and rough ride.
