BN coal empty bound for the Basin

Heading back to Powder River Basin for another trainload of black diamonds, a Burlington Northern coal train follows the North Platte River through Wendover Canyon between Wendover and Cassa, Wyoming, on July 18, 1985. A quintet of Cascade green locomotives power the westbound train, with three EMD SD40-2s bracketing a GE C30-7 and a GE U30C.
