A pair of Union Pacific EMD SD70Ms pulls an eastbound Herzog ballast train east of Cedar Point, Colorado, on UP’s Limon Subdivision, also known as the “KP” for its Kansas Pacific heritage. The train is crossing Colorado Highway 86, and even though Kiowa is 36 miles away, Pikes Peak is 72.5 miles in the distance!
