Marching into Van Dyne
With a light pall of exhaust laying down over the power, Soo Line train 19 marches into Van Dyne, Wisconsin, on the sunny, late afternoon of August 2, 1987. Powered by Soo EMD GP30 Nos. 700 and 716, sandwiching GP9 Nos. 4230 and 411, the Lake States era on the old Soo main line was a lot of fun. Only a couple more months before Wisconsin Central, which was also very enjoyable!
