From Trempealeau Mountain

A climb up a tall bluff at Trempealeau, Wisconsin, yields this view of the Mississippi River valley and Burlington Northern Santa Fe’s long causeway just east of Winona, Minnesota. On the morning of June 15, 1996, a long BN (BNSF) “Expediter” intermodal train 42 slices its way over the impressive route on the Wisconsin side of the river.
