Tidal Art - A Pattern of Reaction

In this photograph the fine black lines are from the black sections of the sedimentary rocks. I have read that these unusual Obsidian-like rock layers were formed from the vast vegetation growth existing at the geological time of the formation of the Pyrenean mountain range.
