Hiking with the family on summer vacation does not lend itself to making photographs in optimal lighting conditions-thus the blown out highlights in the ferns in this photo. But I know this season of life will soon be over and I'll be missing hiking with my daughter when she's grown and out of the house living her own life. Family first!
