In a cave LV4A5399

The mill was designed to take advantage of natural light, with every other roof panel made of glass, and clerestory windows maybe 10' tall just below the roof, and circling the entire roof. The powerful high-bay light fixtures in the photo supplemented natural light. Salvage comes before demolition, and these were detached from their perches way above the factory floor and put aside in a cavern-like storage space just off the floor. In hospitals we have seen items as varied as barber chairs and floor-standing fans collected in single rooms for salvage.
