Stepped Upon

I was a floor once, I don't recommend it, I'd much rather have been a ceiling, but the choice wasn't mine. I was walked on thousands of times and not once did someone say "Thank you floor. Thank you for keeping my shoes clean from the terribly dirty earth that lies beneath you." Ungrateful bastards.
