Machine Works
Urban landscape relic building - Machine Works - Ogden, Utah USA. Shot with 1932 pre-anniversary speed graphic 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 quarter plate camera with 18cm 180mm leitmeyr lens.
In barrel lens, with focal plane shutter shot at f/6 at 1/10 sec. Vintage Ilford multigrade RC paper negative shot at ISO 3.
Developed in Kodak DK-20 by inspection for approximately 15 minutes. Stopped in distilled water w/ 2ml 30% vinegar, fixed in Hypam 1:4 rapid fix.
Developed in Kodak DK-20 high contrast developer:
Water 125F/52C 750ml
Metol 5g
Sodium Sulfite (anh) 100g
Balanced Alkali 2g
Potassium Thiocyanate 1g
Potassium Bromide 0.5g
Cold water to make 1000ml
The rest of the story -- I saw this building for the first time because another group of buildings have been torn down. I forgot my glasses so I had to prop myself against my car and focus in full sun on the ground glass without and real clear vision. So it is blurred because I couldn't see to do the task. So it is artistic I guess......
